Business/General Premise License Categories:
Applicants for Business or General Premise licenses are responsible for downloading and reviewing the Commercial Waste & Recycling Information and the False Alarm Ordinance .

Home Based Businesses: please click here to review our Municipal Code 8-11-4 to determine if your home business is allowed. If applicable, click here to download the application for Home Based Businesses. The fee is $25.00 per year.
Raffle: for all raffles conducted in the Village (nonprofit organizations only). Click here to download the raffle application and Municipal Code regarding raffles (aka "lotteries"). Raffle license fee is $1.

The Village of Hoffman Estates is a home rule community that utilizes the Council-Manager form of government. The Village Manager is appointed as the chief administrator of the Village by a majority vote of the Mayor and Board of Trustees. All Village Departments report to the Village Manager, who is also accountable to the Mayor and Board of Trustees for the proper administration of all affairs of the Village. The Village Manager is responsible for monitoring all revenues and expenditures, preparing and presenting an annual budget and capital plan, and ensuring that all purchasing requirements, laws and ordinances of the Village are upheld.
The Village Manager's Office is also responsible for coordinating Village communications, contracting solid waste, recycling, and utility services, implementing sustainability programs, and resolving resident and business inquiries.
The Administration Division is included in the General Government Department , which includes Finance, Human Resources Management, Cable Television, Communications, Village Clerk, Legislative, and Legal.
